Not only would placing a stadium in the Midtown parking lot cause a huge increase in traffic congestion and make parking 1000X even more worse than it already is, but there will also be a thousand less parking spots downtown because the stadium would be on downtown's largest parking lot. Also businesses will suffer because downtown will be full of vehicles blocking patrons who wish to attend downtown establishments.

They Didn't Even Mention The Most Viable Location

If the stadium was on the Midtown parking lot patrons for Midtown Plaza would no long have anywhere to park and that parking lot in the lower floor is incredibly busy as it is. Patrons to TCU Place would no longer have anywhere to park, and patrons to the stadium would have nowhere to park. Now just imagine an event at the stadium and TCU Place at the same time with no parking spots available. You're looking at almost 20,000 vehicles trying to find a parking spot all at the same time while all available parking spots are already taken because of an already busy weekend night in downtown, and we all know that downtown Saskatoon is incredibly busy every weekend night. You would have patrons for every establishment in downtown, TCU Place, and the Stadium all fighting for parking. This idea of taking away thousands of parking spots to place a stadium there takes the cake in the most stupidest idea this city would have ever made in the history of the city. There quite simply is no polite way to say it.
* Why they put a check for the Midtown area for available land area is beyond me when every square inch of the land is already utilized. Just south of Robin Hood has land area to support a new event centre/arena and supporting infrastructure.

*Why they claim there is
strength of transportation is beyond me. There would be very few parking stalls close to the stadium, and those few stalls would highly likely be used as downtown Saskatoon is incredibly busy on weekend nights as it is. There is however tons of room for a parking lot the same as Sasktel Centre just south of Robin Hood.

*There is absolutely no
opportunity for adjacent development as every commercial space surrounding the Midtown parking lot is already taken. There is however room for development just south of Robin Hood.

*Why would it matter if the new stadium is located near TCU Place. In fact would it not be better to have two event centres separated from each other? When there are 2 events going on at the same time they wouldn't intrude on each other. I have more to say on this a little further down.

*What exactly does the
potential effect on residential areas even mean? Not one of these proposed spots would impact residential areas.

*
Close to future BRT stations. No one cares about your BRT. Only 7,000 citizens on average utilize the transit system in Saskatoon.

*Proximity to existing parking facilities. There's a check, but where exactly are they talking about? You can fit a full size parking lot if the new stadium is placed just south of Robin Hood.

*
Projected site servicing and development costs. In order to put the stadium on the Midtown parking lot you have to destroy a huge parking lot which has multiple floors. If the new stadium is built just south of Robin Hood you don't have to destroy anything what so ever.

I corrected the chart the city made
